Welcome to Finnabair-Anu Russell terriers!
Finnabair-Anu is a dedicated team of 3 co-breeders: Maggie Ewald DVM, MS, DACVO, Sharon Lofley, and Mary McDaniel DVM. We are all located in Florida. We breed for health, temperament, and conformation.
We have imported dogs from top breeders all over the world to incorporate into our breeding program.
We raise the dogs and puppies as part of the family, so we are a small scale operation with typically 1-2 litters per year. We occasionally have young adults available.

To breed healthy, well-tempered Russell Terriers that not only succeed in the conformation ring, but also bring joy and companionship to families.
What sets Finnabair-Anu apart
All breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health screenings including exhaustive genetic testing (AKC DNA, Wisdom Panel/Optimal Selection, or Embark), CAER (eye screening by veterinary ophthalmologist) throughout our dogs' lives, BAER (hearing testing), OFA patellas (after 1 year of age), OFA Hips (after 2 years of age), and OFA Elbows (after 2 years of age)
Puppies are raised in our home with early neurological stimulation and socialization.
We're always available to answer questions and provide guidance throughout your dog's life.
All puppies come with a comprehensive health guarantee which is outlined in our contract.

I'm Maggie and together with my husband, Foster, make up 1/3 of the team behind Finnabair-Anu Russell terriers. Purebred dogs has been a family endeavor for the entirety of my life with Finnabair Glen of Imaal terriers being established in 1992 by my mother, Mary McDaniel. It is through purebred dogs that Sharon Lofley became a dear friend of mine and my mother's. I had my first introduction to AKC Russell terriers in Spring 2012 when provided with the opportunity to transport a lovely girl named Madonna to Italy. Madonna single handedly (or is it pawdedly?) piqued my interest in the breed. I started Vet school the following Fall, so taking on a Russell Terrier puppy was not in the cards for me at the time. When Sharon informed me that she was getting one of Madonna's puppies (Mick) in 2013 and offered to let me co-own and show him, I couldn't resist the opportunity.
